Dennis M. Marushy
Rail Maintenance Specialist
Dennis Marushy began his career with Advanced Rail Management in 2003, and with better than 15 years of experience in field supervision of rail grinding programs, he is the "go-to" guy for rail maintenance issues.
For the past several years, he has supervised rail grinding programs on rail freight and transit systems. As Rail Maintenance Specialist, Mr. Marushy is responsible for the pre-planning and execution of rail grinding programs. His responsibilities on numerous projects have included: conducting pre- and post grind inspections of rail surface conditions; onsite assessment of as-ground rail profile conditions; monitoring of grinding machine performance; coordination of all logistics and management of subcontract services, such as fire-control equipment, associated with grinding programs; and overall quality control of the finished product.
Over a 25-year period at Canadian National Railway, Mr. Marushy served in various positions, including Welding Supervisor, Rail Maintenance Officer and Program Supervisor – Track Services . In these roles he managed maintenance programs, performed and supervised rail welding programs, and supervised rail grinding trains in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. He also was responsible for inspecting and auditing the quality of the work performed by railway crews and contract providers.
