ARM CONSULTANT BIOGRAPHY 
Johan Vigen Wheel Truing Specialist - ARM Senior Consultant Johan Vigen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the technical support area of ARM. His expertise with wheel maintenance and retruing equipment, rail grinding, and friction modifiers (lubrication) is unparalled. Mr. Vigen has over 20 years experience in vehicle and track maintenance. In recent years, Mr. Vigen has worked as a consultant to Bombardier for transit projects in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Ankara, Turkey. He has also worked with ARM on various North American transit projects Mr. Vigen has extensive domestic and international working experience in the transit industry, having worked with ARM on various properties in Canada and the United States. His expertise in analyzing rail/wheel interface, in particular areas relating to wheel truing, truck maintenance, friction modifiers (lubrication), and rail grinding is an important component in the complete turnkey service package provided by ARM. It should be noted that Mr. Vigen has thousands of hours of field experience with rail grinding operations and wheel truing. Working as a consultant to ARM for over fifteen years, Mr. Vigen provides valuable support in areas relating to rail grinding, wheel maintenance and truing, friction modifiers and lubrication, and optical rail measurement. He has been called upon to lead design efforts for ARM’s optical rail measurement vehicles, and he is often consulted in investigating various types of problems relating to rail/wheel interaction problems that impact both rail and wheel wear. Prior to his role with ARM, he worked on the Skytrain Light Rail System in Vancouver, Canada for 15 years, Using his technical competence, he tackled maintenance problems by developing new concepts and discussion with those most involved in the problem and the potential solution. Mr. Vigen has worked as a consultant to Bombardier for transit projects in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Ankara, Turkey. He has been involved in generating specifications, vendor evaluations, and acceptance testing in the procurement of wheel retruing equipment. In addition, he trained staff on the use of this equipment. Mr. Vigen is very familiar with the two systems of wheel retruing – lathe cutting action machines and milling machines.
